The demand of Inspector General (IGP) Islamabad Police to provide bulletproof vehicle has created sense of insecurity among the citizens and cops.
The Threat Assessment (Letter) provided by the Islamabad Police to district administration stated that as per committee report, the IG Islamabad was facing security threats.
Therefore, bulletproof vehicle should be provided to IG Islamabad on permanent basis, it added.
The letter further stated that Islamabad Police has no protected vehicle for security of its personnel and officials.
Other the other hand, the district administration sources said that IG Islamabad has no security threat.
