KARACHI – The 12th edition of defence exhibition and seminar, IDEAS 2024, is all set to begin in the Karachi Expo Center today (Tuesday).
The exhibition has been organised to display a wide range of modern and traditional defense equipment, weapon systems and vehicles. Global defense experts are showing deep interest in the IDEAS 2024 exhibition.
Defense production and exports are amongst the priorities of Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Karachi Traffic Plan
Traffic restrictions have been imposed in Karachi to ensure the security of the event. Authorities have decided to close various roads from 7 am to 7 pm.
According to the traffic police, the National Stadium flyover will be completely closed to traffic. The road from Aga Khan Hospital to the left towards Hassan Square will also be closed for traffic while the road from the Stadium signal to Hassan Square will also be blocked.
The traffic police further stated that heavy and commercial vehicles will not be allowed to enter the Korangi Road from Shahrah-e-Faisal, and these vehicles should use the Drigh Road route instead.
The entry of heavy and commercial vehicles from Millennium Mall to Stadium Road will be temporarily restricted. Heavy and commercial traffic will not be permitted to travel from NIPA to Hassan Square and from Jail Chowrangi to Hassan Square.
According to the traffic police, heavy and commercial vehicles will be allowed to travel on Shahrah-e-Faisal from Drigh Road to NIPA. All commercial vehicles should use Shaheed Millat Road or the Teen Hatti Road. Traffic will be diverted towards PP Chowrangi and Shaheed Millat Road.
Traffic police officials also said that vehicles will not be allowed to travel from Liaquatabad 10 to Hassan Square, but heavy and commercial vehicles can travel from Liaquatabad 10 to Teen Hatti.
