The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Karachi, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), has launched the ‘I-INCUBATE’ program aimed at fostering entrepreneurship among student-led startups. The program, organized by the IBA Centre for Entrepreneurial Development (IBA-CED), IBA City Campus, and attended by various key players in the local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

‘I-INCUBATE,’ backed by HEC, marks IBA’s formal entry into the startup incubation space, following a competitive selection process. The 13-month program provides structured training, mentorship, goal setting, networking opportunities, co-working spaces, and a variety of resources, all aimed at enhancing the sustainability of the chosen startups.

It seeks to empower these ventures to drive societal change, create jobs, generate income, and fuel economic growth, while contributing to a stronger entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The event opened with a welcome address by Dr. Lalarukh Ejaz, Director of IBA-CED, followed by a program overview delivered by Ms. Kanza Sohail, Lead of the Incubation Program. Selected startups from IBA Karachi and other institutions such as the University of Karachi, DHA Suffa University, Denning Law School, NED University, Jinnah University for Women, FAST-NUCES, and Iqra University were introduced to the audience.

These startups represent diverse industries, including Edtech, Agritech, Fintech, Healthtech, Electric Bikes, Legal, Tourism, Circular Economy, and more. The event concluded with a networking session over hi-tea, providing a space for HEC representatives, IBA leadership, and industry professionals to connect and explore future collaborations.
