Husband tortured and killed his wife in a domestic dispute. 48 year old Saghir son of Saleem, resident of Haji pura tortured his 45 year old wife Tahira Bibi in a domestic dispute and strangled her to death on Eid third day in the limit of Hajipura Police Station. Police took the body into custody for an autopsy. It is told that Tahir Bibi was a mother of three children and her husband often used to quarrel with her. According to police sources, the accused husband arrested and investigation has been started.
Meanwhile, citizen of Sialkot fly kites during Eid days, Police arrested 10 people and recovered 4000 kites. In District Sialkot during the days of Eid-ul-Fitr, due to the closure of Cinema, Gardens and entertainment venues, the citizens were seen enjoying kite flying. Due to kite flying, power supply was also disrupted in most areas. On the other hand more than 10 people were arrested by police from different localities of the city as kite flying was observed by certain corners despite existing ban on kite flying.
Police told that the number of raids were conducted in a number of localities of the Murda Pur and Head Maralah Police stations, in order to arrest the violators of the kite flying. Police further told that they arrested Afzal, Saeed, Ali raza, Asher, Sajid, Nadeem, Adeel, Asad Ali, Mohsin and Zaheer abbas and registered cases against them. Police also recovered 4000 kites and strings from accused.
