HRCP condemns registration of case against senior journalist

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has condemned registration of First Information Report (FIR) against former Chairman of the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) and senior journalist of the country Absar Alam Haider over sedition charges.
In a statement, the commission termed the case an attempt to restrict freedom of expression in the country.
HRCP condemns the filing of a sedition case against renowned journalist and former chairman PEMRA Absar Alam.
