Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) is a government organization responsible for the development of the garrison city.

The aim of the RDA is facilitating and enabling provision and continuously improving metropolis-wide development works, facilities, services and incentives of acceptable and modern world standards for residential and commercial outlets in Rawalpindi city.

Besides all this, the development authority also keeps check on illegal and unapproved housing societies in order to save public from being fleeced of their hard-earned money.

In a message available on RDA’s official website, it says public at large is advised to refrain from making any investment in illegal/fake/unapproved housing societies.

“Further, updated information of authenticity & sanctity of societies approved by PHATA should be obtained from PHATA directly. Moreover, never rely on fake screenshots of this page circulated on social media and always check status of private housing societies by visiting this web page in real time,” reads the message.

Online Check Legal Status of Housing Societies in Rawalpindi

The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) has uploaded a complete list of housing societies operating in the city on its official website with their current legal status.

Citizens are required to visit the official RDA website where they will find “Private Housing Societies” tab on homepage.

By clicking this tab, they will get the complete list of the Rawalpindi-based Housing societies and they can search their desired society by writing its name in the search bar.
