Hot, humid weather expected


Hot and humid weather is expected in most plain areas of the country during the next twelve hours. However, rain with wind and thundershower is expected in northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, north Balochistan, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Temperature of some major cities recorded on Sunday. Islamabad and Peshawar twenty-five degree centigrade, Lahore twenty-nine, Karachi twenty-eight, Quetta eighteen, Gilgit and Murree seventeen and Muzaffarabad twenty-two degree centigrade. According to Met Office forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, partly cloudy weather with chances of rain, wind and thundershower is expected in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramula.

Temperature recorded. Srinagar, Pulwama, Anantnag and Shopian sixteen degree centigrade, Jammu twenty-five, Leh fourteen and Baramula seventeen degree centigrade. meanwhile the local Met Office has forecast a dry to partly cloudy weather for the city for next 24 hours. The highest maximum temperature 34 centigrade and the lowest minimum 27 centigrade were recorded during last 24 hours. The dry to partly cloudy weather has also been forecast for rest of the region.—APP
