Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during last 24 hours, however, rain-thunderstorm may occur at a few places in Malakand, Hazara divisions, Kashmir, upper FATA & Gilgit-Baltistan. According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country during last 24 hours. Highest maximum temperature was recorded at Sh.Benazirabad, Mithi 42°C, Sukkur 41°C, Turbat and Lasbella 40°C. According to synoptic situation; continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
However, a shallow westerly wave is affecting extreme northern parts of the country and likely to persist during next 24 hours. The Bahawalpur Met Office has forecast a dry weather for Bahawalpur during next 24 hours.
On Thursday, highest maximum temperature 38 Centigrade and lowest minimum temperature 28 Centigrade were recorded in the city. The Met Office has also forecast dry weather for other parts of the region during next 48 hours.—APP
