Owning bike remained a necessity, something that carries students to college, workers to offices, and delivery riders across crowded city streets. But now, that everyday lifeline may be getting a little harder to afford as the upcoming Budget 2026–27, includes a proposed increase in Climate Support Levy could quietly push up prices.
Honda, Suzuki, and all other brands offering combustion engine vehicles bikes will face 1% to 3% of invoice price. If approved, this adjustment would take effect from July 2026, when the new federal budget comes into force, and is expected to trigger price revisions across all major two-wheeler brands in Pakistan.
Estimated show Honda CD70 could increase to Rs 163,000-164,000, while CG 125 may go up from Rs 238,500 to Rs 243,000. Other models such as the Honda CB 150.

Suzuki GS 150, and Suzuki GR 150 could see increases ranging from Rs 8,000 to over Rs 11,000, with higher-end and mid-range bikes also affected proportionally. Even entry-level models like the United US70 and Road Prince RP70 are expected to become slightly more expensive.
The possible increase comes at a time when motorcycles remain the backbone of daily transportation in the country. They are sold in millions every year and are heavily relied upon by working-class families, students, and low-income households.
Inflation weary Pakistan currently bear plethora of taxes, including petroleum levy, carbon charges, sales tax on fuel, along with registration fees, excise duty, withholding tax, and other charges on vehicle purchases, and tweaks in Climate Support Levy add further pressure on those planning to buy CD 70 or other models.
As of now, it is still a proposed measure and not a confirmed decision, and final outcome will be clear once the federal Budget 2026–27 is presented this Friday.
