KARACHI – Honda Pakistan has responded to online rumours surrounding the possible launch of a redesigned Honda City model in the country.
In a message on Facebook, Honda Pakistan asked the public to ignore rumours and avoid sharing unverified claims circulating online regarding a new Honda City launch.
The company said it believes in transparent and responsible information sharing and advised customers to follow its official communication channels for confirmed updates.
Meanwhile, Honda Pakistan encouraged customers to continue booking the Honda City sedan, describing it as a preferred choice among its customers.
The clarification comes after reports and rumours emerged that Honda could unveil a redesigned version of its best-selling City model in Pakistan.
Earlier reports said the 7th generation Honda City, if launched, will replace the predecessor model unveiled in Pakistan in 2021. Although the redesigned model first debuted internationally in 2019, it would represent a new generation for Pakistani buyers.
The seventh-generation Honda City is expected to offer a 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine producing 119 hp and 145 Nm, with manual and CVT transmission options.
International versions feature a 10.1-inch infotainment display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera and Honda Sensing safety technology.
The ADAS package includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assistance and forward collision warning. Six airbags are also available depending on the market and trim.
Its exterior takes design inspiration from the Honda Insight, particularly around the headlights and taillights.
