Leadership
Dr. Haji Muhammad Rafiq Pardesi – Chairman
Dr. Haji Muhammad Rafiq Pardesi is a distinguished Pakistani businessman with more than four decades of international entrepreneurial experience. Beginning his career through the family textile business in Dubai, he expanded the Group’s operations across Pakistan, the UAE, and Tanzania, transforming HMR Group into a diversified international enterprise.
His leadership has included collaborations with renowned regional institutions including EMAAR Group and Al Ghurair Group, while also contributing to landmark ventures such as the establishment of the first DMCC-licensed gold refinery in Dubai. Alongside business achievements, he is widely respected for his philanthropic contributions, particularly in the field of education through charitable initiatives supporting underprivileged students across Pakistan.
Dr. Haji Rafiq has received numerous recognitions for his services in business, philanthropy, and national development. These include the Gold Shield Award from Union Bank of Switzerland Warburg for outstanding business relations and performance, the prestigious Nazaria-e-Pakistan Gold Medal, honorary membership of The Alamgirians Association of Military College Jhelum, and the Ameer-e-Urdu Award 2025 for his contribution toward the development of a modern Urdu language dictionary. He has also been honored by several international business councils and trade organizations associated with Pakistan, UAE, China, Tanzania, SAARC, and other global business forums.

Major Projects
HMR Waterfront – Karachi
HMR Waterfront is the Group’s flagship mixed-use development located along the Arabian Sea in Karachi. Spread over approximately 33 acres, the gated community features residential and commercial high-rise towers designed to international standards.
The development includes modern apartments, commercial offices, retail outlets, restaurants, green spaces, dedicated parking, a mosque, a beach clubhouse, and a modern business district. Supported by independent utility infrastructure including a dedicated grid station and water filtration system, HMR Waterfront reflects the Group’s vision of integrated urban living.
Goldcrest Projects – UAE
HMR Group developed landmark projects including Goldcrest Views 1, Goldcrest Views 2, and Goldcrest Executive in Jumeirah Lake Towers, Dubai. These projects established the Group’s strong presence in the UAE real estate market and received international recognition, including the Best Residential Building Award at the Cityscape Middle East Real Estate Awards 2008.
Goldcrest Dreams – Ajman
Located in Emirates City, Ajman, Goldcrest Dreams is a modern residential development offering contemporary apartments with lifestyle amenities including rooftop swimming pools, fitness facilities, play areas, and 24-hour security. The project combines affordability with quality living and strategic connectivity across the UAE.
Goldcrest Mall & Residency – Lahore
Developed in collaboration with DHA Lahore, Goldcrest Mall & Residency is a prominent mixed-use development combining retail, dining, entertainment, and residential living. The project has emerged as a major lifestyle and commercial destination in Lahore featuring international brands, modern facilities, and family entertainment attractions.
Nida Textiles – Tanzania
Established in Dar es Salaam, Nida Textiles is a vertically integrated textile manufacturing enterprise operating from cotton ginning to finished fabrics and home textile products. Employing approximately 3,000 people, the company exports products across East Africa, Europe, and the United States while contributing significantly to regional industrial growth.
Jahangir Khan Sports Complex
In partnership with legendary squash champion Jahangir Khan, HMR Group is developing a modern multi-sport facility in Karachi aimed at promoting sports, wellness, and youth development through world-class infrastructure.
FuNation
FuNation is a contemporary indoor family entertainment destination launched in Lahore and now expanding to Karachi and international markets. The project reflects HMR Group’s diversification into modern leisure and entertainment ventures.
