PML-N MPA Hina Pervaiz Butt has submitted a resolution in the Punjab Assembly on Saturday and demanded release of Federal Investigation Report (FIA) inquiry report and re-checking of papers in the presence of students.
The resolution submitted by Hina Pervaiz Butt stated that the problems and demands of the students were not being taken seriously by the government.
Hina demanded that the papers should be uploaded on the website with official answers and all obscure questions be removed from the papers.
It may be mentioned here that the results of MDCAT examination for admission in medical colleges were announced that showed multiple discrepancies including names and roll numbers of the candidates were entered incorrectly.
The Pakistan Medical Association had strongly criticized the errors in the results released by the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) and demanded that the Supreme Court should take notice of the mismanagement in the MDCAT examination.
Earlier, students of medicine, including MDCAT aspirants, staged protests on Sunday in a number of cities, alleging irregularities and unfairness in the MDCAT exam conducted by PMC.
Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood had already said his ministry had “nothing to do” with either Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC) or the MDCAT.
