The leadership of Wafaq-ul-Madaris-Al-Arabia Pakistan on Thursday demanded establishing a high-powered impartial commission to probe the train accident, ascertain the reasons of the accident and fixation of responsibility.
The leaders of Wafaq-ul-Madaris including Dr Abdul Razzaq Skandar,Maulana Anwaar-ul-Haq, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Rafi Usmani and Maulana Hanif Jalandhri in their condolence message, sympathized with the families of the departed souls and prayed for the rest of the departed souls in eternal peace and grant courage to bereaved families to bear the irreparable loss with equanimity. They also prayed for early recovery of the injured.
They asked Ulema, prayer leaders to specially pray for the departed souls of the train accident, said a press release.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar Thursday visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan to enquire after health of Tezgam Express inferno victims.
He visited Sheikh Zayed Hospital and Trauma Center at Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Liaqatpur. He condoled with the families of the deceased and enquired after the health of injured passengers.
Commissioner Bahawalpur Division Nayyar Iqbal briefed the Chief Minister about the incident and added that rescue teams reached the site in 13 minutes and started the rescue operation.
He said that 57 dead bodies, out of total 74, have been handed over to the families after identification process. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, said that casualty of 74 persons was a great loss.
He announced to include phase 2 of Sheikh Zayed Hospital Rahim Yar Khan in the budget and ensured the provision of all facilities at the hospital.
Provincial Minister for Food Samiullah Chaudhry visited Bahawal Victoria Hospital to enquire after the health of injured passengers of Tezgam Express fire incident. He directed hospital administration to take special care of the injured persons.
The doctors called off their strike on minister’s request and attended the injured passengers.
Principal Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Prof Dr Javed Iqbal and Medical uperintendent Bahawal Victoria Hospital Dr Aziz-ur-Rehman were also present at the occasion.
