HEU set to reopen: VC

Home Economics University (HEU) Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Kanwal Ameen has said that university is all set to welcome back students as per the Covid related SOPs communicated by Primary and Secondary Health Department. In this regard, all arrangements have been completed as there will be 50 percent attendance of students on the campus at a time. She was addressing a meeting at the university held to review arrangements for the resumption of educational activities. Additional Registrar Ms Rozina Sadiq, Heads of all departments, faculty members and staff were present on the occasion.

The VC said that health safety of both the teachers and students is the priority of the HEU administration and for the purpose, strict measures must be taken to avoid any contingency. She said that after opening, the faculty members and students must follow the Covid SOPs which were directed by the Health Ministry and Higher Education Commission (HEC).

The VC also ordered to formulate Unfair Means Committee (UMC), rules and regulations for hostels, schedules of buses, allocation of official email addresses to the faculty members and Day Care Center requirement for faculty members.
She further directed that a committee should be formed for the resolution of issues related to student conduct.
