The identity of the courageous Karachi policeman who neutralized terrorists involved in a ‘suicide’ attack on foreigners in the Landhi area has been disclosed. The terrorists targeted a vehicle carrying foreign nationals en route to the Export Processing Zone in Landhi’sMansehra Colony. Thanks to the swift action of the police, the lives of the foreigners were spared, and two terrorists were eliminated in the gunfire exchange.
The brave officer, who delivered a decisive headshot to neutralize the remaining assailant, recounted that he and his team were stationed at the nearest petrol pump when they heard the explosion and gunfire. Rushing to the scene, they encountered the terrorist, who opened fire at them, prompting the officer to respond with precise aim, ultimately incapacitating the threat. Meanwhile, security personnel safeguarding the foreigners revealed that as the vehicle slowed down, one suicide attacker detonated himself, while another terrorist targeted the vehicle.
Providing further insight into the incident, DIG East GhulamAzfarMahesar stated that initially, it appeared that two terrorists were involved. One approached the vehicle and detonated himself, while the other launched an armed assault. The attack occurred at 6:50 am, according to Mahesar, with remnants of the suicide attacker’s limbs recovered from the scene. The identity of the deceased terrorist will be established through NADRA records based on his fingerprints.
