ISLAMABAD – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Political Communication Dr Shahbaz Gul has shared details of expenditure on Prime Minister Imran Khan’s recent visit to Sri Lanka.
He also compared it with the cost of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s trip to the same country in a tweet.
The advisor compared the cost of Nawaz Sharif’s 2016 visit and Imran Khan’s recent two-day long visit, which was his first visit to Sri Lanka as prime minister.
According to Dr Gill, Nawaz’s visit cost the national exchequer $276,266, while the cost of PM Imran Khan’s trip was only $34,800.

He added that the PM Imran’s visit to Colombo was more useful and beneficial than the Nawaz Sharif’s 2016 trip.
