Rains accompanied by lightning lashed parts of Kashmir on Monday even as the Meteoro-logical Department predicted that intermittent light rainfall will continue for the next one week.
Kashmir saw cloudy weather during the day but a heavy spell of rainfall lashed several parts, espe-cially summer capital Srinagar in the evening.
People from different parts of Srinagar said that the rainfall caused water logging in many low-lying areas. However, some areas received only a drizzle. —KMS
