Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare (P&SHD) Sarah Aslam initiated monsoon tree plantation campaign here on Tuesday.
In efforts to encourage others, she planted a tree in the premises of primary and secondary healthcare.
She emphasised on the importance of tree plantation particularly to make prime minister billion trees tsunami a big success.
Sec P&SHD Sarah Aslam said that trees are the only way to eliminate environmental pollution. She also issued instructions to all CEOs for a full fledged tree planting campaign.
In this campaign a total of 28,600 trees will be planted in all DHQ hospitals while 70,950 trees in THQ hospitals across the province.
In addition to this Sec P&SHD Sarah Aslam said that 24,794 trees will be planted in RHC hospitals and 55,088 trees will be planted in BHU hospitals, bringing the total to around 179,432 trees across the whole province.
She assures that P&SHD will compile a record of geo-tagging and monitoring of all trees. She instructs all citizens to plant as many trees as possible to protect their future generations from environmental problems.
She urges everyone to be a part of the Go-Green Campaign for a secure future for generations to come.
