Health Secretary reviews dengue situation in Punjab

A meeting was held in his office under the chairmanship of Secretary Health Punjab Imran Sikandar Baloch, in which Special Secretary Dr. Farrukh Naveed, Additional Secretary Technical Dr. Hafiz Shahid Latif, concerned Deputy Secretaries, MS Services Hospital, Dr. Ihthasham ul Haq, MS Gangaram Hospital Dr. Athar, MS Mayo Hospital Dr. Munir Ahmed, MS Shahdara Hospital Dr. Amir Mufti, Chairman DEAG Dr. Tanveerul Islam and MS from MS Holy Family, DHQ Rawal Pindi and other government hospitals participated through video link conference. Provincial Health Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch during the meeting discussed the dengue situation in the province and government teaching hospitals.

He reviewed the medical facilities for dengue patients. The MS of all government teaching hospitals gave a briefing to Punjab Health Secretary Imran Sikander Baloch.

Provincial Health Secretary Imran Sikandar Baloch said that the situation of dengue in Punjab is being monitored on a daily basis. Beds for dengue patients are being increased in all the government teaching hospitals across the province.

Dengue patients are being provided with excellent medical facilities in all the government teaching hospitals of Punjab. Provincial Health Secretary Imran Sikandar baloch said that every government teaching hospital should have at least three CBC analyzers. MSs of all government teaching hospitals of Punjab should update about dengue patients twice daily. Dengue counters are fully functional in all government teaching hospitals of Punjab.

The provincial health secretary also directed the MS of all government teaching hospitals of Punjab to notify about beds and medical facilities for dengue patients.
