Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan, Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad has urged the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the United Nations Organization (UNO) to take notice of the blatant violations of Human Rights (HR) committed by the Israeli forces in the occupied territory of Palestine and play their role and use influence to stop them.
Maulana Azad expressed these views in a meeting wit Executive Editor of Pakistan Observer Gauhar Zahid Malik and Group Managing Editor Omar Zahid Malik during his visit to the offices of Pakistan Observer on Tuesday.
The Israeli forces are committing a crime against humanity, said Maulana Azad expressing his heartfelt condolences for those Palestinians, women and children, who have lost their lives in the ongoing firing and shelling there for over last one week.
In the unprovoked attack by the Israeli forces more than 140 Palestinians have been martyred so far, held the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s chairman adding it was high time the Ummah should unite and rescue the innocent Palestinians from genocide.
Prime Minister Imran Khan and Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi have very effectively highlighted the plight of the Palestinian Muslims and rallied the leaders of the Muslim countries on single platform on this particular issue, said Maulana Khabeer.
He commended the role of the newspaper in raising voice for the poor and unarmed Palestinians whose sufferings seemingly have no end.
At the Badshahi Masjid Lahore, where I lead prauers, we are holding a huge protest demonstration on coming Friday to expose the Israeli forces’ barbaric act of genocide and awake the world bodies of peace from deep slumber, said he.
Gauhar Zahid Malik while thanking the chairman of the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee for the visit agreed that peace in the world would remain elusive unless the people of Palestine and the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIJK) are freed from the clutches of the aggressors namely the Israeli and the Indian forces.
Kashmiri people, he said were also being denied their right of self-determination and like their Palestinian brothers and sisters were facing a threat of genocide.
On the occasion Gauhar Malik congratulated Maulana Azad on his appointment to the top slot of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and held the way he had united the Pakistani nation over moon-sighting was simply commendable.
