In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the High Court has quashed detention of four persons, who were booked under black law, Public Safety Act (PSA).
According to Kashmir Media Service, allowing their separate Habeas Corpus pleas, the bench of Javed Iqbal Wani quashed detention of Zubair Ahmad Reshi, Showkat Ahmad Ganie, and Rauful Islam.
The court ordered that the detainees be released forthwith from custody if they were not required in other offences.
Meanwhile, a bench of Justice Tashi Rabstan quashed the detention of Abdul Karim Khuroo, who was booked under black law, PSA, in October last year. The detainee was said to be in real estate business as a land broker around the Srinagar city who had cheated innocent people by way of grabbing their hard earned money.—INP
