ISLAMABAD – Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced balloting for 70 employees who will be selected to perform Hajj 2027, giving dozens of lower-grade, non-gazetted staff an opportunity to undertake the sacred pilgrimage.
A CDA notification issued on August 24, 2026, balloting will be held on August 25, 2026 at the Conference Room of CDA Headquarters. The exact time will be communicated separately.
The selected group will include 70 employees in total, 63 males and seven females. In the case of female employees, the Hajj journey will be accompanied by their Mehrams, as specified in the notification. The scheme is specifically for regular Muslim CDA employees from BPS-01 to BPS-16, including TS-17, who are non-gazetted employees.
CDA directed that the balloting arrangements be completed on a priority basis using the list of regular CDA Muslim employees aged above 40 years, which is available with the authority’s IT Directorate. The notification was issued by the Regulations & Labour Relations Directorate under reference No. CDA/LRB-1(3)/2026/1022 and carries the approval of the Director (Regulations & Labour Relations), CDA.
The move comes as Pakistan itself prepares for the Hajj 2027 season. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has already begun preparations for the upcoming pilgrimage, with the government’s Hajj application process moving toward a largely digitised system. For CDA employees, however, tomorrow’s ballot will determine who among the eligible staff gets the opportunity to perform Hajj under the authority’s employee arrangement.
CDA has therefore instructed the concerned departments to make all necessary preparations well before the balloting date, ensuring that the process can be conducted smoothly.
