Construction work on establishment of Museum has been started with estimated cost of Rs. 46 million. Deputy Commissioner Umer Farooq Warriach visited under construction building of Museum, on Tuesday, ADCR Imtiaz Ali Baig, Deputy Director Development Hafizabad Hafiz Tasawar Abbas were also accompanied by him.
DC said that new state of the art Museum was being established to preserved national, regional local culture and traditional art as well as to aware the new generation about history and culture. Meanwhile, addressing the meeting of District Peace and Interfaith Harmony Committee, DC said that our religion Islam teach lesson of peace, unity, interfaith harmony and tolerance and role of local Ulema and members of peace committee was remained ideal to maintain peace and promote interfaith harmony, unity, and tolerance among people on religious festivals.
He expressed his hope that ulma, members peace committee, traders and civil society would continue their vital role in maintain ideal atmosphere of peace, unity, tolerance and interfaith harmony on the eve of Eid-ul-Azha in the district. He said that no organisation would be allowed to collect hides of sacrificial animal without prior permission of district administration.
He directed the officers of Municipal Committees and district administration to ensure arrangements for lifting offal of sacrificial animal and cleanliness on Eid Days. He also directed the officers of traffic police to make practical measures to address traffic problems in the city.
