Hafizabad admin to punish for hoarding overcharging

Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad Muhammad Asif Raza has said that on the instructions of the Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shahbaz and Chief Secretary Punjab Kamran Ali Afzal, the officers of district administration will remain on duty during the holidays of Eidul-Fitr for containing black-marketing, artificial shortage and hoarding of diesel in the district.

He was addressing a meeting held at district complex, on Monday. ADCG Hamid Nasir Goraya, AC Murad Hussain, SP Investigation Khalid Mehmood, AC Pindi Bhattian Shiza Rehman and other officers attended the meeting. DC said that punitive action would be taken against petrol pumps owners and dealers who would find involved in hoarding, overcharging and artificial scarcity of diesel.

He said that officer of district administration including price magistrates would be remained present in their concerned jurisdictions for ensuring provision of diesel on fixed price and without any difficulty to consumers in the district whereas ‘Patwaries’ (Field Clerks) of revenue department would supervise the filling stations and would be reported to shortage, hoarding and overcharging.

He directed the all Assistant Commissioners, Revenue Officers and other concerned officers to launch action in their respective jurisdictions against hoarders and profiteers to provide relief to consumers during holidays of the Eid-ul-fitr in the district.

Meanwhile, District Police Hafizabad have made foolproof security arrangements of the eve of Eid-ul-fitr.
