In a distressing turn of events, the usage of contraband substances, specifically deadly Mava, Gutka, Main Puri, City, and other illegal chews, has led to a significant number of fatalities and imminent deaths. According to a survey conducted by ‘Pakistan Observer’, approximately 210 individuals have been afflicted with mouth cancer in a span of six months.

Out of these cases, a staggering 61 individuals are on the brink of death, their lives hanging by a thread. Despite the gravity of the situation, the police administration has yet to successfully enforce a complete ban on these harmful chews, thus failing to protect the lives of countless people.

Sham Lal, a surgeon specializing in mouth diseases, has revealed the extent of the crisis. Men, women, and even children have fallen victim to mouth cancer, with a total of 210 cases emerging within the past six months. Of these cases, the most severe ones number 61, as these individuals are on the verge of succumbing to their condition.
