Guru Nanak gave message of tolerance: minister

Punjab Minister for HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine Friday said that Baba Guru Nanak promoted a message of tolerance through his actions.
Addressing the 4th International conference on Baba Guru Nanak here, the minister said Guru Nanak made great efforts for the establishment of a peaceful society and there was a need to agree on common factors in all religions which promote brotherhood and peace in the world.
The aim of the conference was to promote the message of peace given by Guru Nanak.
Parliamentary Secretary HR&MA Mahendra Pal Singh said that everyone should play role for establishing peace by following the message of Baba Guru Nanak and the Sufis.
He also praised efforts of Prime Minister Imran Khan on behalf of the Sikh community for opening the Kartarpur corridor.
Sardar Balwinder Singh, Sardar Otar Singh, Klyan Singh Klyan, Professor Dr Mujahida Butt, Dr Nabeela Rehman, Dr Shahid Kashmiri and others also addressed.
