Groups formed in Attock to control dengue

Deputy Commissioner Attock Muhammad Zulqurnain has said that dengue virus can only be tackled with the support of the community and in this connection community support groups ate formed at the all six tehsils of the district.

He expressed these views while presiding over a meeting of the district emergency response committee held on Wednesday. EDO health, Additional Deputy Commissioner, all the assistant commissioners, workers and officials of the dengue control cell, TMOs, and other relevant departments attended the meeting.

The meeting was informed that the health department in collaboration with all the district administrations would ensure timely measures across the province so that the previous year like dengue situation could be avoided. It was further revealed that a complete action plan had been chalked out by the district government to ensure coordinated and effective measures for the prevention of dengue. The participants of the meeting discussed preventive measures to control spread of dengue fever during the ongoing summer season.
