Green Sticker Validity For Vehicles Increased In Punjab Check New Date

LAHORE – The Environment Protection and Climate Change Department has announced an extension in validity of the green stickers issued to vehicles over passing emission testing in Punjab.

The validity, which expired on 31 December 2025, has been extended for the period of six months in order to provide relief to masses.

Officials said new stickers will be issued after the vehicles undergo emission testing.

After completing the Emission Testing Certification, the officials will paste a green sticker on the windscreen of the vehicles, which reflects that the vehicle has no adverse affect on environment.

The Punjab government has made the Green Sticker mandatory for all vehicles to operate across the province, a move that aims at curbing rising environmental pollution.

Green Sticker New validity Date

The provincial government has extended the validity of green stickers till June 30, 2025, saying new stickers will be issued in July to the vehicles which will pass the emission test.

Emission Testing Fee January 2026

The department has set different fees based on engine capacity.

Vehicles with engines up to 1,000cc will be charged Rs500. It means the owners of Suzuki Mehran, Alto, WagonR and other vehicles with engine capacity up to 1000cc will pay Rs500 in fee of the emission testing.

Furthermore, the vehicles between 1,001cc and 1,500cc will pay Rs800.

Vehicles with engines ranging from 1,501cc to 2,500cc will be charged Rs1,000.

For vehicles with 2,501cc to 4,500cc engines, the fee will be Rs1,500.

Those exceeding 4,500cc will pay Rs2,000.
