Govt wisely dealt with PDM Multan meeting: Firdous Urges Shehbaz not to do politics on parole issue granted on humanitarian basis

The Punjab government has announced filing case against the organizers and workers of the Pakistan Democratic movement (PDM) rally for violating Coronavirus SOPs and vandalizing government property in Multan.
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, announced while addressing a press conference here on Tuesday.
She said that PDM chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman provided sticks to the workers for clashing with the police but the government acted consciously instead of being emotional. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that dealing with the Multan rally was a successful strategy of the government. The government worked patiently without inflicting a stab wound. The government strategically thwarted the opposition s conspiracy, she added.
She said that Maulana’s workers wanted to attack the police. Where there is a collision, there is a risk of loss of life. Barriers were removed to avoid any tragedy. Police were given clear orders not to go into the confrontation. The government showed consciousness and exercised restrain. The special assistant said that the Multan administration had refused to allow the meeting because of Coronavirus.
However, government property was vandalized and set on fire by the opposition. Maulana Fazlur Rehman distributed sticks to his workers and issued instructions to fight with the police. This was not a political statement, we had information.
Talking about arson incident during Multan rally, she said that a case has been registered against former PML-N MPA Shahid on the complaint of the owner of the cardboard warehouse.
Investigations have revealed that Shahid, a former PML-N MPA, had set off fireworks. A fire broke out in a cardboard warehouse due to fireworks. The owner of the cardboard warehouse has become the plaintiff in the case.
Responding to the opposition s claim of success of the rally, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that nowadays there is a drone camera, which show more people if the video is recorded from above. This is the perfection of drones, opposition achieved nothing.
She mocked the PDM chief and said that Maulana Fazlur Rehman was sitting outside the assembly for the first time. “Eating sweets from your own pocket is a very difficult task. We feel their pain.”
Talking about the situation of Coronavirus in the province, she said that the world appreciated the Coronavirus policies of the Prime Minister. We are moving towards Coronavirus and Polio Free Punjab. Giving a clear message to the opposition, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that governments do not fall through rallies. Parliament can never be sacrificed. The government is not going home because of the threats of no-confidence motion.
She announced that an FIR would be registered against the organizer of the Multan rally for violating the Coronavirus SOPs.
Talking to media at Governor House here, she said that the chief minister already gave a five-day release on parole to Shehbaz Sharif and his son Hamza Shehbaz instead of 12 hours on humanitarian grounds. She said that Shehbaz Sharif should not have asked for extension in release on parole. She said that Shehbaz Sharif was released on parole to attend his mother’s funeral.
