The Lahore Marriage Halls Association has refused to close down their marriage halls on the given date of Punjab government. Office bearers of the association said that they would march on roads against the government if they are forced to close their business. They expressed these view while holding a press conference against the decision of the government to close the marriage halls. President Haji Usman Khan, Chairman Amir Naeem Siddiqui, Vice Chairman Sheikh Shamshad and other officials attended the press conference. Participants also chanted slogans against the government by making hand chains.
According to details, an emergency press conference was held in Shahdara Town against the government’s decision to close marriage halls. President Shahdara Marriage Halls Association Haji Usman Khan, Chairman Amir Naeem Siddiqui, Vice Chairman Sheikh Shamshad Chief Administrator Haji Younis and others attended the press conference.
On the occasion, the participants said that they do not accept the decision to close the marriage halls under the guise of lockdown. We will not close the marriage hall on November 20. Haji Usman Khan said that our children and our workers should not be starved. If marriage halls are closed, we will protest in the streets with children.
The participants said that the Prime Minister and the Opposition holds public meetings then isn’t there a corona? When our marriage halls remain open, the government remembers Corona. During the press conference, the participants also said that if the marriage halls are not kept open, then the government should close the rest of the institutions also. Many people related to wedding halls will become unemployed because of this decision.
