Govt trying to uplift downtrodden sections of society: Augustine

Provincial Minister for HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine has said that all the possible measures are being taken to uplift the deprived sections of the society during the tenure of PTI.
He said that unfortunately in the past only elites were honoured; in fact one of the major reasons for the existence of PTI’s government was the change in the thinking of a common man as every citizen living in Pakistan knew his rights due to awareness from incumbent government.
He expressed these views during a meeting with a delegation of Mazdoor Union from LWMC at his office on Tuesday. Delegation briefed the minister regarding issues facing by them in the company, they appealed to recruit them direct on contract basis rather than with the help of middleman.
They also informed the minister that LWMC already re-employed some persons, retired after completion of age 60 and with the direct recruitment company can save thousands of rupees, which can benefit the company itself and establish a saving policy of the government.
The minister assured them that justice would be provided to all employees and in this regard all the matters will be solved with the help of head of LWMC.
