Govt taking steps to control prices: Azma

On the direction of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz, a significant decrease has occurred in the prices of essential edibles in the Ramadan Bazaars owing to implementation on the special task being undertaken against price hike.

300 kg onion is available in 150 rupees while rupees 220 kg tomato is available in 105 rupees and garlic is available in 210 rupees in the Ramadan Bazaar Township.

A significant reduction is also seen in the price of banana as rupees 300 per dozen bananas are now available in rupees 140 per dozen. Separate counters are being established for men and women in the Ramadan Bazaars.

Provincial Minister for Information Azma Bokhari apprised that essential edibles are available in the Ramadan Bazaars at a significant reduced price as compared to the market. Azma Bokhari maintained that under the leadership of CM Maryam Nawaz, the Punjab government is undertaking essential steps against price hike.

Azma Bokhari further revealed that the Price Control Magistrates are fully vigorous and are playing a proactive role to check and curb price hike.
