Punjab Minister for Housing Malik Asad Khokhar termed the launch of Wasa Mobile App an important step towards best public service delivery, saying all departments have been playing their role for the welfare and betterment of people.
“The Punjab government has been striving hard to mitigate sufferings and problems of the Citizens and reforms have been introduced to build capacity of all departments for quality and timely service delivery.”
Punjab Minister for Housing Malik Asad Khokhar was speaking at the inaugural ceremony of mobile application at Wasa head office here.
On the occasion, the minister said that management and service delivery system of the Wasa is being upgraded as per international standards, adding that now consumers of Wasa Lahore will lodge their complaints regarding drainage, supply of clean water or malfunction in pipelines with just one click from the application called “Wasa Lahore” which can be downloaded from Google Play Store. He further stated that the application has Urdu and English languages.
“The details of the complaint will be automatically sent to the concerned SDO for which a monitoring system has been set up.”
Khokhar said that officers will be bound to resolve the complaints within the stipulated time frame. The Wasa MD said that apart from the mobile application, a complaint can also be lodged by calling 1334.
He said that more than 24,000 complaints registered on the PM portal have been resolved. Zahid Uzair said that 35 digital centers would be established in Lahore within a year for registration of complaints.
Complaints are resolved by Wasa within 24 hours of registration. The provincial minister announced a one-month reward for wasa employees working on mobile application development.
Earlier, Wasa Vice Chairman Sheikh Imtiaz briefed the provincial minister regarding the mobile application. DMD Ghafran Ahmed and other Wasa officers were present.
Meanwhile, Punjab Minister for Literacy and Non-Formal Education Raja Rashid Hafeez said that the Holy Prophet (SAWW) is a beacon of life for the entire humanity.
He was addressing at the prize distribution ceremony of Naat and Speech Competition to school students in connection with Ashra Shane Rehmatul Lil-Alameen here.
The event was arranged under auspices of Punjab Arts Council in collaboration with APPSMA.
He said that the Prime Minister has declared the establishment of the Shan-e-Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Authority which has been appreciated by the Muslims. Raja Rashid Hafeez emphasized learning from the ideal life of the Prophet.
He said that our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) preached good deeds, peace, forgiveness and tolerance.
Mercy to the improvement of humanity. Naheed Manzoor said that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) preached Islam on the basis of his high quality role and announced his prophecy based on his truth and honesty. Abrar Ahmed Khan Divisional President APPSMA said that such kind of competitions would be helpful for the children to understand the spirit of Islam.
