Inaugurates newly constructed Kohat Sports Complex

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan Thursday inaugurated the state-of-the-art Kohat Sports Complex, carrying multiple Games facilities with a total cost of more than Rs. 600 million.

Talking to journalists soon after inaugurating the mega sports project, Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Khan said that the promise he made with the youth of Kohat has been fulfilled with the inauguration of state-of-the-art Kohat Sports Complex.

He said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is spending Rs 22,402m to develop sports infrastructure all across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including merged tribal areas so that the youth could be provided with international standard facilities.

Adviser to Prime Minister MNA Sheryar Afridi, MNA Noureen Ibrahim, Member Provincial Assembly Zia Ullah Bangash, Commissioner Kohat Javed Marwat, Deputy Commissioner Kohat Roshan Masood, Secretary Sports Amir Sultan Tareen, Director General Sports Khalid Khan, Regional Sports Officer Syed Sikandar Shah, DSO Zeeshan Khan, former international footballer Mohib Ur Rehman and Faqir Awan, PTI workers, players were also present.

Kohat Sports Complex is an ADP scheme completed in record time including rehabilitation of internal roads inside the Stadium costing Rs. 12.831 million, Tartan Track with a total cost of Rs. 123.43 million, Astro Turf costing Rs. 90.304 million, Gymnasium Hall, separately, for female with other added facilities with cost of 99.90 million along with administration block, Gymnasium Hall for Male, Swimming Pool, Player Hostel, Overhead water tank and tube-wall facilities for watering the Complex completed with the total cost of Rs. 262.244 million.
