Emir Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said that it is joke of the caretaker government with the masses to decrease petrol price by Rs 8 per liter after increasing it by Rs 50 per liter. He said that masses have been given no benefit of the decrease in petrol price at the international level and decrease in dollar price against Pakistani rupee, adding that the government should provide relief to masses instead of causing trouble for them and should fix petrol price at Rs 150 per liter. Sirajul Haq while terming all three big ruling parties including Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for current situation of the country said that due to corruption, mismanagement and lawlessness in their governments, everyday destined to become destruction for Pakistanis.
This was stated by Sirajul Haq while addressing the ceremony held at the breakfast by Jamaat-e-Islami National Assembly 126 constituency on Sunday. On the occasion Secretary General Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan Ameerul Azim, Emir JI Lahore Ziauddin Ansari, Emir JI Lahore West Abdul Aziz Abid, candidate for PP-167 Abdul Qayyum Gujjar and others were also present on the occasion.
Sirajul Haq said that the agreements struck by PPP with independent power producers (IPPs) in 1994 have defeated East India Company, adding that PML-N government further promoted them, adding that PTI also kept its eyes closed on these anti-public agreements. He said that today in agricultural country, due to per roti being sold at Rs 25 and electricity by Rs 52 per unit, the people are committing suicides and immolating themselves, adding that the electricity bills are becoming message of death for them.
Sirajul Haq said that the dogs, cats and horses of the rulers are living in air conditioned rooms; meanwhile the smile has gone missing from the faces of the 250 million masses.
He said that from president, prime minister and to a soldier everyone confesses that the situation of the country is deteriorating but no one is ready to accept the responsibility.
