A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Secretary Industries and Commerce Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi to review the progress on ongoing schemes for the support of artisans and promotion of their art. Addressing the meeting, the Secretary Industries and Commerce said that the handicrafts of Punjab are famous all over the world and the government was providing all possible support for the promotion of this art of the artisans.
He said that the government has taken effective measures to promote the art of handicrafts and support the artisans.
The ongoing development projects for this purpose will have a positive impact on the economy and these projects will bring prosperity to the people. The Secretary Industries and Commerce directed that work on the schemes of Punjab Small Industries Corporation should be expedited and quality in development schemes should be ensured at all costs.
