The Punjab government has decided to phase in expansion in the scope of Sehat Insaf Cards to provide health insurance facilities to the citizens.
Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar chaired a high-level session where he was briefed over details of medical facilities and the issuance of Sehat Insaf Cards to the citizens.
It has been decided to expand the scope of the health insurance plan. CM Usman Buzdar said that the provincial government has issued Sehat Insaf Cards to more than 5.1 million families in the first phase of the programme.
Meanwhile, CM Buzdar removed Okara DC, Depalpur AC for negligence. Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday visited Okara and made the deputy commissioner and Depalpur assistant commissioner (City) as OSDs (officers on special duty) after he found shortage of ghee and sugar at Sahulat bazaars. Okara Assistant Deputy Commissioner Revenue has been given additional charge of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Okara till further orders. In a surprise visit to Okara and Depalpur, Usman Buzdar visited the Sahulat bazaars, talked to local people and upon the public complaints he took action against the district administration.
Mr Aurangzaib has been appointed as AC City Depalpur after the Punjab chief minister found the cleanliness measures in the city unsatisfactory. The TV channel reported that the Punjab chief minister was also not happy to see the dilapidated condition of the Okara-Depalpur Road.
Meanwhile, a delegation of DG Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry led by its president Kh Jalaluddin Romi called on Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar. Adviser Hanif Pitafi was also present. The meeting decided to establish almonries in DG Khan, Taunsa, Vohwa and Sakhi Sarwar through Kh Jalaluddin Romi and other industrialists.
The CM appreciated the philanthropic passion of the industrialists and added that 50-acre land has been acquired at Sakhi Sarwar Road in DG Khan for providing industrial plots to small and medium-scale investors. He directed to identify land for construction of DG Khan Chamber of Commerce & Industry building adding that investors will be provided various incentives in Muzaffargarh’s special economic zone. Waste Management Company and PHA have already been set up in DG Khan and city roads will be repaired to facilitate the citizens and business community of the area, the CM added.
Meanwhile, Vice-Chairman CM Complaints Cell Nasir Suleman called on CM Usman Buzdar and apprised him about the performance. The CM directed early redressal of pending complaints.
Talking on the occasion, the CM regretted the opposition is playing with national solidarity to hide its corruption. Opposition parties are following anti-state elements’ agenda which has already been rejected by the people.
