The government has given the approval of imposing the petroleum development levy of Rs50 on high-octane petrol on Friday.
Sources privy to the matter said that the PDL levy on high-octane was Rs30, but as per the International Monetary Fund’s conditions, the approval of increasing the PDL on high-octane petrol has been given.
The sources further stated that the approval of imposing a complete percentage of PDL on high-octane petrol has been given.
