Staff Reporter

While addressing to the monthly Ijlas of Shura Hamdard former Naval Chief Admiral Iftikhar Ahmed Sirohey and other scholars said that it is the constitutional responsibility of government to provide the basic facilities of education and health. Education and health are so important but none of the governments has paid attention towards these two departments.
Only 2 to 3% of the budget is allocated for health and education whereas in USA and other developed countries, three departments are considered most important i.e. education, health and defense and given special attention. Getting education and health facilities is very expensive and almost impossible. Number of hospitals and doctors is less than the patients. If our rulers would not pay their attention to these basic departments, the problems of health will remain drastic and horrible.
Topic of Ijlas was “MASAIL SEHAT-E-AAMA, TASHWEESHNAK SURAT-E-HAL AUR QOUMI TAQAZAY”. National President Shura Hamdard Sadia Rashid said that our nation cannot be strengthen without health and education. Hundreds of people died due to dengue virus. Hepatitis B & C, dog-bite, blood pressure and heart diseases very common in our country. There are no medicines of many diseases. Let us think and work together for remedy of these basic issues.

Tanvir Nusrat also express their views on the topic and highlighted need of reforms in public health.
