Govt making strides to support digital transformation of media: Hassan

Special Assistant to the Chief Minister Punjab on Information and Spokesperson Government of the Punjab Hasaan Khawar has said that together with our media fraternity, government is making strides to support the digital transformation of media in Punjab.

In pursuit of the same, Punjab Government Digital Media Advertisement Policy 2022 has been drafted under the directions of CM Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar, SACM maintained.

He said that the policy draft was a comprehensive document that reflects Punjab Government’s commitment towards nourishing the advancement of digital media industry in the country. PGDMAP 2022 shall also recognize social media content creators, influencers and vloggers, etc, Hasaan Khawar said. He further stated that with these policy provisions, Punjab Government intends to bring the young media experts, journalists and influencers into the mainstream media, so their unique contribution to the sector is acknowledged, rewarded and strengthened by all possible means.

Reaffirming Punjab Government’s resolve towards strengthening media as an important pillar of state in general & acknowledging the role of journalists for shaping the society in particular, Hasaan Khawar said that all stakeholders will be taken into confidence so that maximum could be obtained from this policy.
