Govt has not banned mosque worship

The reply submitted by Sindh government to Sindh High Court says that worship in mosques has not been banned and prayers and Taraweeh are being offered under the 20-point SOPs given by the Federal Government. According to details, a petition was heard in the Sindh High Court against the ban on worship in mosques. On this occasion, the provincial government submitted a written reply to the court. The written reply says that the Sindh Govt has not banned worship in mosques and prayers are being held under 20-point SOPs of the federal government. The provincial government also presented fatwas asking for restricting worship in mosques to the High Court. The SHC directed the petitioner to file a reply and adjourned the hearing till May 19. It should be noted that the petitioner had taken the position that stopping worshipers from going to mosques is a violation of Islamic Law as well as the Constitution.
