Govt announces to discontinue Rs15,000, Rs7,500 prize bonds


ISLAMABAD – The federal government has announced to discontinue the use of Rs15,000 and Rs7,500 prize bonds, said a notification on Thursday.

The investors will be able to convert or cash Rs 15,000 bonds by June 30 while the Rs7,500 bonds can only be encashed till December 31.

People can convert their bonds to Premium Prize Bonds, Special Saving Certificates, Defence Saving Certificates.

The government has also imposed ban on holding withdraw of the Rs15,000 and Rs7,500 prize bonds.

Last year in December, the federal government discontinued the sale of Rs25,000 prize bonds.
