ISLAMABAD – The federal government has once again revised the fee structure for machine readable passports, e-passports and issues of lost travel documents, local media reported on Saturday.
Passport is the mandatory travel document for Pakistani citizens who intent to travel abroad for studies, jobs or business as without it they will not be allowed to board flights.
The Directorate General of Immigration and Passports is the competent authority to issue passports to the citizens if they meeting the requirements and pay the fixed fee.
Machine Readable Passport Latest Fee
The fee for 36-page ordinary passport for 5 years has been set at Rs4,500, while the urgent processing fee stands at Rs7,500. However, the fast track fee for same passport has been fixed at Rs13,500.
For 72-page passport for 5 years, people will have to pay Rs 6,700 for normal processing and Rs 11,200 for urgent processing. The fast track fee will be Rs16,200.
For 10-year validity period, the fee for 36-page passport fixed at Rs 6,700, with the urgent fee is Rs 11,200.
For 72-page passport for 10 years, people will have to pay Rs 8,200 for normal processing and Rs 13,500 for urgent processing. However the fast track fee will be Rs19,500.
Similarly, the fee for 100-page passport with five years validity has been fixed at Rs9,000 for normal category, Rs18,000 urgent and Rs23,000 for fast track category.
E-Passport Latest Fee
The normal fee for 36-page e-passport with five years validity has been fixed at Rs3,000 while urgent fee for same passport will be Rs15,000.
The normal fee for 36-page passport with 10 years validity stands at Rs13,500 while the urgent fee for it stands at Rs22,500.
Similarly, the department charges Rs16,500 in wake of normal fee for 72-page passport with five years validity while urgent fee for the same travel document stands at Rs27,000.
Furthermore, the urgent fee for 72-page passport with five years validity stands at Rs24,750 while it is Rs40,500 for 10 years validity.
