Sindh Governor Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori visited the Sohrab Goth cattle market on Wednesday night, where he was warmly welcomed by the market administration. They briefed him on the market’s operations. The Governor engaged with sellers and buyers, inquiring about the facilities and the prices of the sacrificial animals. During media talk, Governor Tessori praised the excellent arrangements for both buyers and sellers, noting that the Sohrab Goth market holds the distinction of being the largest cattle market in Asia.
He also directed the IG Sindh Police to enhance security measures in the market. Addressing a question, the Governor mentioned that, like last year, 100 camels will be sacrificed at the Governor House. He appealed to the wealthy to ensure meat availability for the poor year-round, highlighting the impact of inflation on the common man’s ability to purchase meat.
