He underscored the significance of the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) program as the primary initiative to navigate the country out of its economic turmoil, praising the relentless efforts of Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief General AsimMunir in advancing this program. Governor Tessori highlighted the positive ripple effects anticipated upon the program’s success, resonating even at the grassroots level.
Dr. FarooqSattar echoed the sentiment, advocating for alternative avenues and urging the government to swiftly complete mega projects like the city’s water supply. He emphasized the necessity for circular railways, women’s universities, and initiatives to alleviate the financial burden on youth through loans and reductions in utility prices.
Addressing the media, Syed Mustafa Kamal pledged to grant Karachi its due rights to propel the nation towards prosperity, asserting that reviving industries is essential to lift the country out of its economic quagmire. He expressed confidence in Karachi’s potential to lead Pakistan out of its economic woes, viewing the city’s progress as pivotal to the nation’s advancement.
