Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar has successfully resolved the marriage dispute of Sikh-Muslim couple after hectic efforts of four days. Zulfiqar father of Hassan disowned his son and girl in presence of Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar and brother and father of the girl.
According to details (G) who is Daughter of Bhagwan Singh married a Muslim man named Hassan in Nanka Sahib which caused tension and rift in the city.
When the issue was brought to the notice of Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar, he immediately met with the family and father Bhagwan Singh and on the request of the parents of the girl, Wife of Governor Punjab Begum Governor Sarwar accompanied the family to meet the girl at Dar ul Aman Lahore and on Tuesday Governor Punjab officially reconciled the both families.
Governor Punjab Ch Muhammad Sarwar said at the occasion that I am grateful to the both families who sorted the issue out on my request and plans of those who were spreading negative propoganda had bitten the dust.
He said InshAllah under the leadership of Imran Khan we will protect the kids of minorities like our own kinds and no kind of atrocities or injustice will be tolerated and wherever any injustice would happen to any minority including Sikhs, the Government of PTI will become the voice of that family and they will be provided with justice at every cost.
In the presence of Governor Ch Muhammad Sarwar father of Hassan, Zulfiqar told that Governor Punjab has reconciled us with the other family and if the girl G wants to go with their family, we do not have any objection and we will not pursue this issue at any forum including Lahore High Court and instead will cooperate fully with the family of the girl. The father of the girl Bhagwan Singh appreciated the decision and termed it historic and said that once again it has been established that minorities in Pakistan are completely safe and the role Governor Punjab played in the reconciliation cannot be praised enough.
