Governor Sindh, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, paid tribute to Pakistan’s founding father, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, on the occasion of his 76th death anniversary by visiting his mausoleum. Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah and other provincial assembly members were also present at the ceremony. The governor laid a floral wreath at the Quaid’s grave and offered prayers, after which he recorded his reflections in the visitors’ book, expressing his deep admiration for the nation’s great leader. Speaking to the media, Governor Tessori highlighted Quaid-e-Azam’s exceptional qualities of courage, determination, and commitment to democratic principles. “His principles of unity, faith, and discipline are essential for us today.
The Father of the Nation remained committed to the supremacy of democratic values throughout his life, and his guiding principles must be our beacon,” Tessori said. The governor acknowledged the challenges facing the country, stating, “Pakistan stands at a critical juncture in its history, and extremism has no place in Quaid’s vision for the nation. The current government is determined to realize the dream of making Pakistan a country envisioned by the Quaid.” In response to a question, Tessori added that the people now understand who is working towards economic progress and who is spreading a narrative of hatred from behind bars. “While some spread division, we are sending a message to our enemies that we stand united,” he remarked. The governor also reflected on the May 9 events, writing in the visitors’ book at Mazar-e-Quaid, “Quaid, we are ashamed of incidents like May 9.
” He reaffirmed his belief that Pakistan’s economy can still move forward despite external pressures. Tessori concluded by urging everyone to follow the path of Quaid-e-Azam, emphasizing that unity is essential to overcome internal challenges.
