Governor Sindh Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori visited the Iranian Consulate in Karachi, where he was received by the Iranian Consul General, Hassan Nourian, and other diplomatic staff. During his visit, Governor Tessori paid homage to Martyr Hassan Nasrallah, describing him as a symbol of peaceful struggle and a steadfast advocate for the Palestinian cause. He emphasized that Nasrallah’s martyrdom is a great loss for the Muslim Ummah, adding that his assassination by Israel has put global peace at risk.

“Hassan Nasrallah’s mission will only gain strength from his martyrdom,” Tessori remarked. He also expressed his condolences in the book of remembrance at the consulate, underlining Nasrallah’s peaceful activism and dedication to the Palestinian cause. Addressing the media, Governor Tessori highlighted that the year 2024 has been particularly challenging for Iran, noting the recent assassination of the Iranian president earlier this year.

He pointed to Israel’s continued aggression, not only in Gaza but now extending to Lebanon and even Iran. He criticized Israel’s targeted actions, accusing it of violating international laws and urged global institutions to intervene immediately to prevent further escalations. Governor Tessori reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to peace, emphasizing that “no religion permits terrorism.” He urged international bodies to act swiftly to stop Israeli aggression, warning that failure to do so could pose a grave threat to global peace. Tessori also mentioned that he had written a letter to Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, addressing concerns about Israel’s growing violence.

“Israel is blatantly violating international human rights laws, and the world is raising its voice against these atrocities,” said Tessori. He expressed pride in Pakistan’s status as a nuclear power, crediting the military for safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.

The governor also called on neighboring Muslim countries to show solidarity, noting that Pakistan continues to face its own challenges with terrorism aimed at weakening the nation economically. In his closing remarks, Tessori called for unity among Muslim countries, emphasizing the need for collective action to combat shared threats.
