Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar had a meeting with Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani and Opposition Senators including Mushahid Hussain Syed and Maulana Abdul Gafoor Haideri.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani appreciated the initiative of the Punjab Governor for providing clean drinking water and health facilities in Quetta.
According to the details, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar had a meeting with Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Senator of PML-N Mushahid Hussain Syed and Senator of JUI-F Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri at Governor House.
They had a discussion on political and parliamentary matters. Governor Punjab, Chairman Senate and opposition Senators strongly condemned the Indian oppression on Kashmiris and urged the solution of Kashmir issue in accordance with the resolutions of United Nations.
During the meeting, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that government is taking the practical steps to strengthen the democracy, parliament and all the institutions.
He said that the government is ready for the electoral reforms to make the next elections fair and transparent, adding that the opposition should support the government on electoral reforms so that the next elections would be held in transparent manner.
Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar said that in the context of changing situation of Afghanistan, this is the time to protect national interest, adding that all political and religious parties should give top priority to national interest.
He said that the role of Pakistan is exemplary in the whole region including Afghanistan, adding that India is the biggest facilitator of peace enemies.
Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani said that all political and religious parties should play their role to strengthen the democracy. Pakistan will be strengthened by strengthening the democracy and parliament, he added.
He said that the Senate will play its positive role on electoral reforms. Chairman Senate appreciated the installation of filtration plants in Quetta by Governor Punjab under Sarwar Foundation.
