A Civil Awards Ceremony was presided over by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Tuesday.
Presidential Awards were given to those who excelled in various fields. Chief Secretary Sindh Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah officiated the function.
The Governor of Sindh commended Prof. Dr. Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui in the Department of Education, Talat Hussain in the Department of Arts and Acting, Sister Ruth Pfau in the Department of Public Services, Prof. (Retd) Dr. Khalid Mahmood and Sabina Mehtab Khatri for their valuable services in the Department of Humanitarian Affairs. Asad Ali Adnan awarded with Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
Recipients of the Presidential Award for Excellence were Sakina Sammo in Arts and Acting, Zulfiqar Ali Lund in Arts and Crafts, Abdul QudoosArif in Arts and Painting andMehtab Mehboob in Arts and Literature.
The Medal of Distinction was awarded to Prof. Dr. Noman Ahmed in the Department of Education, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed Qureshi in the Department of Education and Health Sciences, Abdul Majid Jahangir in the Department of Arts and Acting, Dr. Syed Faisal Mahmood in the Department of Public Services and Muhammad Aslam for bravery.
